Trinity Rescue Mission on April 14th

Fellow Christians, please come and help in the feeding of the homeless at Trinity Rescue Mission from 10-1:30 PM. There may be more children at this event, so be prepared to love on some children. If you need more information, please drop a comment with your questions. I'm including some words Bono said in regards to the poor....
"A number of years ago, I met a wise man who changed my life. In countless ways, large and small, I was always seeking the Lord’s blessing....

And this wise man said: stop.
He said, stop asking God to bless what you’re doing.
Get involved in what God is doing—because it’s already blessed.

Well, God, as I said, is with the poor. That, I believe, is what God is doing.
And that is what He’s calling us to do."

Thanks for helping guys......

Boy I would love to be there. Just a few weeks ago we had the opportunity to share the Gospel with a woman whose husband ran off with a 17-year-old and left her home with 2 kids and nothing else. They had just moved into that house because their previous house had burned to the ground along with most of their stuff. So she had no husband, no bed to sleep in, nothing! We brought her some furniture and shared the gospel. She broke down crying on her doorstep as the stress of the previous few days started to release itself. I hope to get to see her again.

Good news, though. It looks like I may be able to come down to help you guys move.

Man that is heavy. It's so crazy how God really wants us to reach out to those in need. It's almost like God's calling card, you know? I remember when my grandfather was dying how my stepfather would take care of him (bathing my grandfather is probably something even I would not want to do!). My stepfather Jim told me that grandpa willingly recieving the love of a man would draw grandad closer to the love of the Father. Pretty heavy, but I think the same holds for the woman you helped. If she can believe what a man could do for her, she is closer to seeing what God can do in her life.

Matt.7
[11] If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?

Looking forward to seeing you on move day my friend!

That was very touching. Jim is a true Christian gentleman (and I mean that in the literal sense "gentle man".) It is a joy to know him.

Funny thing is, he is the same guy I saw throw a bull. Meekness does not equate to weakness!
